About the company
What is SoA Co., Ltd.?
SoA Co., Ltd. is a startup based in Kawagoe, Saitama, Japan, that begins with agriculture. Established on 5 March 2026, it grows rice on 3.8 hectares of farmland it operates in Kawagoe, runs a trading business that exports fine Japanese agricultural, marine and livestock products and food, and provides website production, app development and AI adoption support.
What does the name SoA mean?
SoA stands for “Seeds of Aspiration.” It expresses our wish to nurture the seed of what each person wants to do and help their potential grow. It is pronounced “soar,” as in rising high.
Who runs the company?
Soichi Saito is Representative Director and CEO. A graduate of Seijo University, he worked at East Japan Railway Company from 2018 to 2025, in planning alongside station and conductor duties (Ueno-Tokyo Line, Shonan-Shinjuku Line), and founded SoA Co., Ltd. in March 2026.
Where is the company, and can we visit?
We are located in Kawagoe, Saitama, Japan. We do not publish our street address or the exact location of our fields. If you would like to visit, please contact us through the inquiry form.
How much farmland do you operate?
We operate 3.8 hectares (about 9.4 acres) in Kawagoe, Saitama. This is farmland that SoA cultivates and manages.
Rice sales and rice for businesses
Which rice varieties do you grow?
Sai-no-Kizuna, a variety bred by Saitama Prefecture, and Koshihikari. We are considering Niji-no-Kirameki and Emi-hokoro for future seasons.
Can you supply rice to restaurants and food companies?
Yes. Restaurants, retailers and food companies in Japan can select “Rice for businesses” on our inquiry form. We discuss volume and price individually.
Can individuals buy your rice?
Retail sales go through the online shop of our rice brand Komeyoshi. We ship within Japan and also to Taiwan, most of Europe, Canada and Chile (one-time orders, by Japan Post EMS).
Farm visits and experiences
Can I join a farm experience or rice-planting event?
We accept farm visits from companies and municipalities. Farm experience programs for the general public are in development. Please use the inquiry form to arrange a visit.
Can we run a field trial with you?
We welcome inquiries about on-site trials and joint development from agricultural machinery makers and IT companies. Please select “Business partnership” on the inquiry form.
Trading business and overseas trade
Can we start with a small trial order?
Yes. Products, volume, packaging and terms are agreed with you individually. Please select “Overseas trade” on the inquiry form.
What does your trading business handle?
We export fine Japanese agricultural, marine and livestock products and food to importers, restaurants and retailers overseas. Starting from the rice we grow, we bring products from producing regions across Japan to buyers abroad. Rice for restaurants and retailers in Japan is handled by our agriculture business (Komeyoshi).
Can we talk to you about overseas trade?
Yes. We welcome inquiries from importers, restaurants and retailers overseas, and from producers and food companies in Japan who want to sell abroad. We are in talks with overseas buyers through GFP and JETRO programs and hands-on export support from Saitama Prefecture. Please select “Overseas trade” on the inquiry form.
Websites, apps and AI
Can you build a website or an app for us?
Yes. We provide website production, app and system development, and AI adoption support, based on the tools we actually run on the farm and online shop we operate.
Can we see your client work?
You can see our own work: the Komeyoshi online shop, this website, our farm management app Tanbo-cho, the Komeyoshi admin app, and our in-house use of AI.
